The mighty Mazinger Zero - based on Shin Mazinger Zero vs the Great General of Darkness manga - becomes part of the "Infinitism" product line, revised by mecha designer Takayuki Yanase.
This is a snap-fit model kit requiring assembly: pieces are molded in color and fit together without need for glue, like those of gunpla kits.
It's labeled as a High Grade 1/144 scale model kit, but stands approx. 19 cm tall (it's definitely bigger than a standard HG gunpla).
Once assembled, it's articulated and is painstakingly detailed, with excellent color separation!
Features:
- mouth opening/closing gimmick;
- dedicated display base;
- huge Zero Scrander, that can be attached to the back of the Mazinger, or ridden by the latter;
- 3x different pairs of hands;
- extra parts and effect parts to simulate the double Rocket Punch attack;
- stickers;
- sheet of water slide decals (also designed by Takayuki Yanase) which can be employed as desired on all model kits of the Infinity/Infinitism series!
It's recommended to use a hobby nipper to properly detach the components from the runners.
All parts fit together without need for glue, making the building process easier and faster than that of more "conventional" models, even for beginners.
Pieces are molded in separate colors, so it looks great even after a simple straight build.
However, you can paint it employing proper colors and your favorite techniques (Gundam Markers, brush, airbrush and/or spray cans).
