2nd version (year 2019) of the Master Grade gunpla of the RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex", featured in the OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket.
It's a 1/100 scale snap-fit model kit requiring assembly. Parts are molded in separate colors.
Compared to the previous 1999 edition, this one sports better articulations, proportions and gimmicks, and is a lot more detailed!
It comes with removable Chobam armor, Beam Rifle, 2x Beam Sabers, bazooka, shield, 2x gatling guns concealed inside its forearms, interchangeable parts, 3x figurines and a sticker set.
This model is compatible with display stands Action Base 1 and Action Base 4, both sold separately.
This MG Gundam Alex Ver.2.0 was released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Gundam 0080.
Features:
- fully articulated inner frame;
- removable CHOBAM armor, with detailed inner structure and openable hatches;
- 2x Beam Sabers;
- Beam Rifle;
- bazooka;
- shield;
- 2x 90mm 3-barrel gatling guns concealed inside both its forearms;
- soft vinyl coverings for its shoulder joints;
- an optional, damaged, V-fin, as seen in episode 4;
- optional head parts, as seen on a Gudam Alex variant in the SD Gundam BB Senshi line;
- interchangeable hand parts;
- 3x non-painted figurines of Christina "Chris" Mackenzie, Bernard "Bernie" Wiseman and Alfred "Al" Izuruha;
- many stickers.
It's recommended to use hobby nippers to properly detach the components from the runners.
All parts snap together without gluing, making the building process easier and faster than that of more "conventional" models, even for beginners.
You can paint it using proper colors and your favorite techniques (Gundam Markers, brush, airbrush and/or spray cans), but it's not mandatory, since the pieces are already molded in separate colors.
