This original new High Grade model kit of the Gundam arises from the collaboration between designer Ken Okuyama and director Kou Matsuo!
It's no coincidence that the model number of this gunpla is G40, as its launch coincides with the 40th anniversary of Gundam!
This is a 1/144 scale snap-fit model requiring assembly: there's no need for glue and all parts are already molded in color.
There are 2 main peculiarities to be noticed.
First one, more evident at a glance, is the exterior restyling of the mobile suit, characterized by soft lines and renewed details all over the body.
Second one, less obvious but definitely sensational, concerns the employ of groundbreaking joint solutions! There are new types of joints on arms, torso and hips, as well as the 3 articular points on the feet soles: posability is more and more like that of the human body.
It comes with:
- Beam Rifle;
- 2x Beam Sabers;
- shield;
- a special booklet.
The Action Base 5, showing in the images, is sold separately.
It's recommended to use a side cutter to properly detach the components from the runners.
All parts snap together without need for glue, making the building process easier and faster than that of more "conventional" models, even for beginners.
Pieces are molded in separate colors, so it looks great even after a simple straight build.
However, you can paint it employing proper colors and your favorite techniques (Gundam Markers, brush, airbrush and/or spray cans).
