Cute model kit of Gunpla-Kun, the chibi-style mascot clearly inspired by the RX-78-2 Gundam!
This is a 1/1 scale gunpla, as it features the same dimensions as the original counterpart that appears in various shorts and stands approx. 8.4cm tall.
It's a snap-fit model requiring assembly, but there's no need for glue and parts are molded in color.
It can be built normally or, if you prefer, displayed divided into macro components (head, torso, limbs, backpack and saber) on a scenic runner-shaped frame included in the box!
It comes with:
- Beam Rifle;
- Beam Saber (unpainted);
- shield;
- eye sticker;
- pedestal.
This Gunpla-Kun is made of LIMEX, a low-impact material made of at least 50% calcium carbonate (derived from limestone) combined with plastics. Compared to other model kits, employing LIMEX reduces the use of petroleum-derived resins and reduces CO2 emissions in the production process.
Some parts may be disconnected from their respective sprues, but that is due to the nature of the material and will not affect assembly (any detached parts will remain inside the bags in which the sprues are sealed).
It's recommended to use a hobby nipper to properly detach the components from the runners.
All parts snap together without need for glue, making the building process easier and faster than that of more "conventional" models, even for beginners.
Pieces are molded in separate colors, so it looks great even after a simple straight build.
You can however paint it using proper colors and your favorite techniques (Gundam Markers, brush, airbrush and/or spray cans).
